Marvel Super Villain Reunion - Painted Illustration

Originally created for the 2013 Doug Wright Awards Fundraising Art Auction. This amazing piece is an homage to classic comic book characters from the Silver Age: a portrait depicting a reunion of supervillains from the first wave of 1960s Marvel Comics. Represented here is a unique, never-before seen gathering of the arch-enemies of your favorite heroes, all linked to characters created by the likes of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. Here's the line up (left to right) and the superhero they are most associated with: back row, Iron Mask (Kid Colt's nemesis), Magneto (Uncanny X-Men), Egghead (Ant Man's nemesis), Doctor Octopus (Spider-Man), Baron Mordo (Dr. Strange's nemesis), The Wizard (Fantastic Four), Namor (Fantastic Four), Mr. Big (Spider-Man). Seated: The Leader (Incredible Hulk), Dr. Doom (Fantastic Four), Baron Zemo, and The Red Skull (Captain America). This is a beautiful drawing, done in Seth's familiar style. Paint on paper, 19 x 13 inches. Excellent condition. Signed by Seth.
