Kelley Jones

Kelley Jones added a dose of gothic horror and mystery to the superhero genre while redefining Deadman and Batman for an all new comics audience. Batman fans once again saw the character as a fearsome creature of the night. His heavy uses of black, fine textured patterns, exaggerated build, and extra long Bat ears gave Batman a distinctive look for the late 20th century. Like Adams, Aparo, and Wrightson before, Jones's radical approach made the character his own.
