Acme Novelty #3- Double spread

Amazing page by by Ware, likely done while he was still in college at The University Of Texas at Austin, reprinted as 2 pages in The Acme Novelty Library #3. Very George Herrimanesque strip featuring Ware's ubiquitous Potato Man. The strip has been cut into 3 section by Ware for the purposes of mailing it at the time it was created, the sections fit together seamlessly (the seams in the image are only to show the separations between the sections). Pen and ink on paper, the 3 sections are between 7 - 10 x 25 inches for an overall size of 25 x 25 inches. Excellent condition. Signed by Ware.
