A rare and wonderful drawing by the understated master of the mundane lives of the upper middle class. His pure and perfectly clean line was unmatched by other cartoonists of the day and he was published widely including in the New Yorker (of course!). This series began in 1922 and this one's dated Nov. 7th, and it's from EARLY in the run 1924! Beautiful little piece about "The Gossips". Published by the McClure Newspaper Syndicate. Excellent condition, pen & ink on paper 9.25 x 11.25 inches.
